The Prince of Eejits is a humorous memoir of a boy growing up Catholic in 1970's Florida and his unusual relationship with an Irish priest, Father Bueller. The central character Kevin, moves with his family from Chicago to Florida and survives sadistic nuns in catholic school, hangs out with the hippie culture of the early Seventies on Clearwater Beach, is taken on a crazy trip to Dublin compliments of Father Bueller. He lives a truly free boyhood where fighting, fascination with weapons, building forts and showing a healthy appreciation for the opposite sex was considered normal and encouraged and not something that would require medication and counseling. In short, a funny, touching story of what it was like to grow up being allowed to be a boy.
